The Celtic Nature Trail – detailing the mythological
and medicinal history of the native plants and trees. It is just a nice walk into the village of Dromahair for a meal or visit to the pub. According to some, Stanford’s Pub has the “best pint of Guinness in Ireland”. The trad sessions certainly attract numerous quality musicians. Dromahair is lucky to have one of the best restaurants in Leitrim at the Riverbank, located in a beautiful pagoda like building designed by eco architect Colin Bell. Other
activities within an easy drive of Ard Nahoo include a boat trip on
Lough Gill to learn about the local myths and folklore of the area,
including places that W.B. Yeats wrote about like the Isle of Innisfree;
a boat trip to the important monastic Island of Innis Murray off the
