Directions and Transportation Tips

Sligo is the transportation hub in the Northwest and is serviced by bus,train and plane.

Dromahair is 16 miles from Sligo in Co Leitrim.

The Ireland West Airport at Knock is an hour away and has direct flights from the UK and most parts of mainland Europe. International visitors may also choose to arrive in Belfast (about a 3.5 hour drive away) or Dublin (about a 2.5 hour drive). See our links page for low cost airline information.

Belfast (or Derry) - Enniskillen - Manorhamilton - Dromahair
Take the road to Enniskillen and the A4 to Manorhamilton. In Manorhamilton take R 280 (The road to Carrick on Shannon), approximately 10 miles along take R287 to Dromahair. (the turn is signposted)

Dublin - Carrick on Shannon - Dromahair
Take the N4 to Carrick on Shannon, take the road to Leitrim Village and Drumshanbo. At Drumshabo take R280 towards Drumkeeran. Take a left off the R280 onto R289 into Dromahair. (the turn is signposted)

Knock - Collooney - Dromahair
Take the N17 towards Sligo. At Collooney get off the round about onto R290. This country road takes you into Dromahair.

Sligo - Dromahair
There are two ways from Sligo to Dromahair. R287 from the Carrowroe round about just before you reach Sligo town from the south winds it way along the south side of Lough Gill into Dromahair. If approaching Sligo town from the north R286 (past the Sligo Institute of Technology and National Petrol Station) takes you along a winding road on the north side of Lough Gill into Dromahair.

Directions to Ard Nahoo Health Farm

Ard Nahoo is located 1 mile outside of Dromahair Village. Leaving the village towards Sligo, just outside the village boundary, there is a junction on the right; take the road going up the hill. Ard Nahoo is sign posted at this junction.

Car Hires are available at the Knock and Sligo airport. It is best to reserve in advance.
