Directions and Transportation Tips

All events take place at St Angela's College located on the north shore of Lough Gill in Co Sligo. The college is located in the countryside about 6 miles from Sligo Town and 12 miles from Dromahair.

Depending on the direction you are coming from you may choose to arrive at the college either from Sligo Town or Dromahair.

If you are not familiar with the area, if may be best to head for Sligo and from there to St Angela's College.

Sligo is the transportation hub in the Northwest and is serviced by bus, train and plane.

The Ireland West Airport at Knock is an hour away and has direct flights from the UK and most parts of mainland Europe. International visitors may also choose to arrive in Belfast (about a 3.5 hour drive away) or Dublin (about a 2.5 hour drive). See our links page for low cost airline information.

Maps and directions to St Angela's College

Directions to St. Angela's: www.stangelas.com (Click "visitor" button for decent directions and road map.)

From Sligo - take R286 out of Sligo for about 6 miles (keep an eye out for a left hand turn which is sign posted to the college.)

From Dromahair - take R286 out of Dromahair for about 12 miles. Take the first left turning past Parke's Castle and follow the county lane up the hill. Take a left turn just after the highest point of the hill at the college gates.

Map of St. Angela's a very good pictural map of the college buildings. It might be an idea to print it off and take it with you if you have never been to the college.

The Irish government and tourism authorities would hate to deny you an authentic Irish experience by putting up proper sign postings.

Sure, if they put up signs you wouldn't have to stop and ask would you?

Anyway "You can't miss it."
